Moncton Cares is seeking a compassionate and energetic Child Care Support Worker to join our team. This role will involve supporting children aged 5 to 12 years old in our after-school and community programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and helping them grow in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities, including educational games, crafts, and recreational activities.
- Provide one-on-one support to children as needed, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
- Promote positive social interactions and teamwork among children.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe child care space.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress and well-being.
- Support the program coordinator with any additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children (previous child care or teaching experience is an asset).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required).
- Availability during after-school hours (3:30 pm to 6:30 pm) on weekdays.
