Celebrating a Remarkable Milestone: Moncton Cares Makes Waves at City Council

We are thrilled to announce a momentous achievement by the incredible team of volunteers at Moncton Cares. Today, they had the honour of presenting to the city council, showcasing the multitude of impactful initiatives that have been spearheaded by our dedicated group. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that our team is composed entirely of recent immigrants hailing from diverse corners of the globe, including Morocco, Peru, Argentina, Egypt, India, and Australia. Together, we have become the driving force behind numerous newcomer support programs and systems, striving to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

As one of the first friends to welcome newcomers to our region, Moncton Cares has remained committed to providing unwavering support and assistance. We recognize the importance of continually adapting our programs and initiatives to meet the evolving needs of our vibrant community. The significance of today’s presentation extends far beyond Moncton itself; it resonates with extended families back home, filling them with pride as they witness the impact their loved ones have made in their new home far away.

Nerves were undoubtedly present as our team took the stage, but they were accompanied by an unwavering sense of excitement and the spirit of doing something truly unprecedented. And guess what? We succeeded!  This accomplishment stands as a testament to the power of diversity and resilience, highlighting that by working together, we can create an inclusive, supportive, and caring community that knows no boundaries.

We invite you to stay tuned for more inspiring stories from our remarkable team of volunteers at Moncton Cares. Their unwavering dedication continues to fuel our efforts in making a positive difference in the lives of newcomers and in fostering a sense of belonging for all.

Together, let’s continue building bridges and embracing diversity as we strive to make our community a beacon of compassion and understanding for the world to see.
