Moncton Cares and Ketan Raval Recognized for Economic and Social Inclusion

We are proud to share that Moncton Cares and our Founder and Executive Director, Ketan Raval, have been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Economic and Social Inclusion Award in the Non-Profit Sector by the New Brunswick Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation.

This recognition celebrates leadership, meaningful community contributions and a positive influence on others. For our team, it is a moment to thank everyone who helps make our work possible.

Building Belonging in a Multicultural Community

Since 2022, Moncton Cares has brought people together to support newcomers, refugees and vulnerable residents across Greater Moncton.

Our multicultural food bank, $5 meal program, language classes, wellness activities and cultural celebrations help meet everyday needs while creating opportunities for connection. We want people to feel welcomed, valued and able to contribute.

Food is an important part of that work. Access to culturally appropriate food helps families preserve traditions and enjoy familiar meals while receiving assistance with dignity. Our multicultural food bank reflects the diverse community we serve.

Creating Opportunities Through Participation

Under Ketan Raval’s leadership, Moncton Cares connects practical support with opportunities to build skills, confidence and relationships.

Our multicultural catering social enterprise helps vulnerable community members develop career skills, with proceeds supporting our food bank and $5 meal program. Volunteer opportunities also allow residents to share their talents
