unity Centre Kay Arena, 99 Wynwood Drive, Mondays through Fridays 10:15am – 11:15am. A public skate is available on Fridays, from 3:30pm until 4:30pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, public skates are available for $2.
On Saturdays, there is a Parent & Tot skate at Moncton Coliseum. There is also a public skating from 3:45-5;15pm. Each cost is $2.
Helmet lending is prohibited. Please bring your helmet. Helmets must be worn. For those aged 12+, proof of vaccination is required. All the latest information about skating in the City of Moncton can be found here.
Riverview
For the 2021/2022 season, parents and their children can skate at no cost at Riverview ‘s Byron Dobson rink on weekdays between 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Public skating is available Saturdays from 3:45 to 5:15 pm in the lower arena, and Sundays from 2:30 to 4pm in upper arena. A youth skate (age 18 and under) is offered Wednesdays in the lower arena from 3:30-4.45pm. There is also a children’s skating program (12 and under) Tuesdays through Thursdays in the upper arena, and Fridays in the lower arena from 4-5:15pm.
All skaters 12 and over must present proof of vaccination. Masks are required in the arena, but not while they skate. For those below the age of 13, helmets are required.
Dieppe
Dieppe’s public skating rinks include Uniplex, Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre, and the refrigerated oval at Place 1604.
Family skating is free at the UNIplex (450 College Street), on Sundays at 3:45-4.45pm, and at the AJL arena Saturdays at 6:15-7.15pm, and Sundays at 2-3pm.
Preschool skates are held at the UNIplex Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30-10.30 am. Preschoolers with sticks are Tuesdays and Fridays at UNIplex, 9:30-10.30am.
For those aged 12+, proof of vaccination will be required. Masks must be worn in arenas (but no on the ice) and masks must be worn. For those aged 12 and under, helmets are required.
FREE OUTDOOR SKATING in GREATER MONCTON
Get your skates on, get a helmet and go outside to enjoy all the outdoor skating rinks! These rinks and ovals might have earlier opening dates than indoor facilities. We’ll update this information after the Christmas holidays. Moncton’s Ian Fowler Oval is open from 10am to 10pm. Also, you can skate in Centennial Park. One rink is designated for skating and the other for hockey.
A outdoor skating rink is located behind Mapleton Park. There is also one at Victoria Park. In some parks, the City of Moncton partners with neighbouring volunteers to build skating rinks.

Two outdoor rinks are maintained by Dieppe at Rotary St-Anselme Park, one for skating and one for games. The oval is behind City Hall. No sticks or pucks are allowed. The oval at Place 1604 can be skated daily between 10am – 9:30pm. Please note that the ice closes between 11:30pm and 5:30pm for maintenance. Skates and helmets can be borrowed on the site from Friday (6-9pm), Saturdays (4-8pm) and Sundays (1-3:30pm). They will be available from noon to 4pm on New Year’s Day, Family Day and other days.
