Thank You to the Volunteers Who Power Moncton Cares

At Moncton Cares, volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Every program, event, class, food bank appointment, and community initiative becomes possible because of people who choose to give their time, energy, skills, and kindness to others.

During our recent Graduation Ceremony, we also hosted a special Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony to recognize the dedicated volunteers who continue to support Moncton Cares and help us build a stronger, more connected community in New Brunswick.

As a growing Multicultural Center, Moncton Cares, also known as NB Cares, depends on the support of volunteers from different backgrounds, cultures, ages, and life experiences. Together, they help create a welcoming space where people can learn, connect, receive support, and feel a true sense of belonging.

This appreciation ceremony was a meaningful moment for our organization because many of our programs depend heavily on volunteer support. From language classes and community events to food security programs, wellness activities, administration, outreach, setup, cleanup, and participant support, volunteers are involved in almost every part of our work.

To honour their contribution, Moncton Cares presented volunteers with certificates of appreciation and gift cards as a small token of gratitude for their continuous support. While no certificate or gift can fully measure the value of their service, it was important for us to pause, say thank you, and recognize the positive impact they are making in people’s lives.

We also gave a special shoutout to VanHa, Natalia, and Norma, who have been helping Moncton Cares for a very long time. Their ongoing dedication, reliability, and kindness have made a real difference in our programs and in the experience of the people we serve. Volunteers like them show what community care truly looks like.

At Moncton Cares, volunteering is not just about completing tasks. It is about creating belonging. It is about welcoming new Canadians, supporting families, encouraging seniors, helping youth, reducing isolation, and making sure people feel seen, respected, and supported.

We are deeply thankful to every volunteer who has supported Moncton Cares, whether for one event, one program, or many months and years. Your contribution matters. Your kindness matters. Your time matters.

If you would like to make a difference in your community, we invite you to Register to Volunteer with Moncton Cares. Your time and skills can help us continue building a connected, inclusive community across New Brunswick where everyone can contribute and succeed.

Thank you to all the volunteers who power Moncton Cares.
